Towel Radiators – Too Big Or Too Small?

Monday June 7, 2010

Size is very important when you are considering buying a towel radiator of any description. Is that radiator you are looking at buying going to be big enough for your needs? Or do you need to buy something else instead?

Obviously you need to buy something that is going to meet your needs otherwise you will be constantly disappointed with it. This is why it pays to think about how you will figure out what is suitable before you buy anything.

It is a good idea to get a proper idea of measurements before deciding on anything in particular. For starters you need to consider the benefits of seeing the towel radiator in person, so you can gauge exactly what size it is. It can be hard trying to imagine something and it is very easy to overestimate how big it could be. Needless to say if you then order it online you could be in for a disappointment when it finally turns up.

The other thing you could do is to mock up what the radiator will look like. You can do this quite easily by laying out strips of string if you wish to get an idea of the actual size. If you have some cardboard you could always use that to do the same thing. With this method you can even hold it up against the wall to see what space it would take up.

Measuring up properly should be easy because all the measurements will be given on a website that is selling towel radiators. They are typically measured in millimetres so you should be able to get an extremely accurate idea of what to expect. You can see whether they will be big enough for your needs as well as whether they will fit in your bathroom.

Obviously you will want to hang a certain number of towels on it, and depending on how many people there are in your household you might want to keep them there all the time. Alternatively you can warm them up before you get into the shower or bath, so they are ready for you when you get out again.

So as you can see, figuring out the size is very important if you want to be sure you can get the right radiator for your needs. If you get it wrong, you will always be left regretting it.
